Ticca (Takako Sato)
I am licensed nail technicians serving clients
in Santa Barbara locally over 8 years.
I studied nails in Japan, later obtained
a license from New York as well as California.
I have a 3 year old son who loves cars and dinos.
Christine
I am a native of Santa Barbara with 19 years experience as a manicurist. I have two adult daughters. I have had the pleasure of watching them both dance flamenco for the past 18 years. Fiesta time is one of our favorite family celebrations. The upgrade of now being at One Carat Mani & Pedi has given me enjoyment in providing my professional services in a calm and relaxing salon and spa. As well as manis and pedis. I love watching sports, family time and my two pit bull dogs.
OUR PROMISE
Our goal is to offer an utmost detail on services as well as the relaxation that most of you have sought out for.
There is nothing more important than your safety and comfort
when you visit One Carat Mani & Pedi; furthermore,
we pledge to adhere to the highest industry standards.
-We open new set of implements for each services.
-We change implements and disposable tools if accidentally drops.
-We wash all reusable implements such as clippers, pushers,
nippers with soap and hot water then sanitize with disinfect liquid barbicide for 10min or more after a single use.

After that we use autoclave which is steam pressure that reaches
121 degrees Celsius (about 250 degrees Fahrenheit)
to clean implements. It kills any and all microorganisms.
We self pouch with clean gloves.
*We do hospital level cleaning
-We only use movable pedicure bowl with plastic liner to avoid infection and it disposed of after a single use.
-Pedicure bowl will be cleaned with alcohol.
-Any tools that cannot be properly disinfected such as files,
buffers, pumi bars, tow separators, and orange wood sticks are disposed after a single use.
-We cover pedicure chairs with cleaned sheets and change
every after clients.
-We use bleach cleaned fresh towels for each client.
-We sanitize all product bottles and nail polish every after clients.
-We sanitize door nobs, faucets and iPad.
Updated face mask policy
effective Wednesday Feb 16th 2022
As a nail salon business, we are requiring all clients and manicurists to wear masks inside the salon regardless of vaccination status for the following reasons.
1. Many of our clients feel still uncomfortable to be in the salon without wearing masks.
2. We are not able to keep our door open during the day as the outside noise and we do not have windows to create the air circulation inside our salon.
3. We will have to quarantine or even close the salon if any of manicurists are expose or tested for COVID
while performing a service.
It is not only affecting our health and wellness, but also reducing our income as independent contractors.
There is no COVID hours available to us or any other support from the government.
* Please remember No drinks or foods are allowed inside the salon during your visit as you have to keep your mask on throughout your appointment.
We appreciate all your support during these difficult times.
